Message & Offer Builder

Say what you do so clearly that the right person says: that is for me.

What it is
A simple method for writing your core message (who you help and what changes for them) and a clear offer (what they get, for how much, and the next step).
Why it matters
People buy when they understand what you do and trust that it is for them. Confusing messages lose customers quietly.
The problem it solves
Talking in vague, clever or technical language, and not knowing what to actually offer or how to say it.

How to use it, step by step

Step 1: Write your message formula
I help [your ideal customer] to [get this result] without [their biggest frustration].
Step 2: Say it the way they would
Swap any jargon for the exact words from your Ideal Customer Profile.
Step 3: Define one simple offer
What exactly do they get? Keep it to one clear thing, not a bundle of everything.
Step 4: Set a fair price and say what is included
Price for the value you can truly deliver. Be specific about what they receive.
Step 5: Add an honest promise, not a guarantee of results
Promise what you control, such as your effort, your support or a refund policy, not outcomes you cannot control.
Step 6: Make the next step obvious
Write one line that tells them exactly what to do: message me, book a call, buy here.

A practical example

An invented example for illustration. Message: I help busy cafe owners post consistently on Instagram without spending their evenings writing captions. Offer: a four-week starter package with 12 ready-to-post captions and photo ideas for the shop, delivered each Monday. Next step: message me the word starter and I will send a short questionnaire. The offer is specific and honest, and it does not promise sales.

Your twenty-minute exercise

Write your message sentence and a three-line offer (what they get, price, next step). Read both aloud to someone, then ask: what do you think I do? If they cannot say it back, simplify.

Common mistakes

Promising income or results
Never guarantee outcomes. Promise your effort and your process.
Offering too much
A simple offer is easier to explain, deliver and sell.
Hiding the next step
If people have to guess what to do, most will do nothing.
